Import email addresses into your Junk Email Filter Lists

Import e-mail addresses into your Junk E-mail Filter Lists

If you have an existing list of e-mail addresses you want to use for evaluating e-mail messages, follow these steps to quickly add the addresses to the Junk E-mail Filter lists. The file you want to import must be a text or Tab Separated Values file.

1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
2. Click Junk E-mail.
3. Click the Safe Senders, Safe Recipients, or Blocked Senders tab.
4. In the 'Look in' list, click the drive, folder, or Internet location that contains the file you want to import.
5. In the folder list, locate and open the folder that contains the file.
6. Click the file, and then click Open.

Note: If you have more than one file, repeat these steps for each file containing addresses you want to import. If you used rules or filters to move, delete, or color junk e-mail messages in an earlier version of Microsoft Outlook, and you customized the Junk Senders List or made an exception to this list, you can import the addresses in these files into Outlook by using the steps earlier in this topic.
