How to return the year as integer given a date serial number using formulas

                               This Mhelp clip will show you how to use the YEAR formula in Excel. This is useful if you are working with date formatting.

                                                                                   This Mhelp clip has ten steps.
                                                                                   1 - Click cell A3.
                                                                                   2 - Type the date to use as a serial number.
                                                                                   3 - Click the cell where you want to display the answer.
                                                                                   4 - Click the Formulas tab.
                                                                                   5 - Click Date & Time. A menu will appear.
                                                                                   6 - Click YEAR. A dialog box will appear.
                                                                                   7 - Click the Serial_number button.
                                                                                   8 - Click cell A3.
                                                                                   9 - Click the formula button.
                                                                                  10 - Click OK. The answer will be displayed in the cell selected.
